| Abstract: | Throughout the years, teleworking in the Maltese Public Service has increased at a steady pace. This study examined how teleworking has evolved since its inception in 2009, as it is viewed as a work-life balance measure within the Public Service. Every public employee can apply for teleworking as long as the ‘job performance, traits and skills as well as nature of their job are suitable for telework’ (P&SD, 2020:36). This research was carried out during the COVID-19 pandemic. The latter changed the ways of working due to the lockdowns in Malta where employees worked from home. [excerpt] |
