Abstract: Was the first wave of COVID-19 in Malta revolutionary? By which we mean political and societal effects on the Maltese people as a whole as well as their individual behavior; potentially a change in their way of thought. If in the affirmative, what does it say about our society and what ideas does that associate us with? The comparisons we shall attempt to draw will only give us a degree of the characteristics of the impact of the novel coronavirus and an attempt at explaining its effects, seen and unseen. It is very possible that at times both the macro and micro effects are interconnected. [excerpt]
