Abstract: Cyberbullying is a repetitive behaviour done to inflict harm on others through the use of technology and it can cause psychological consequences, such as depression and suicide behaviour among adolescents. Numerous studies have found an association between the two psychological consequences, however further research is needed to identify the association between depression, suicide and cyberbullying. Hence the research question reads: What is the link between depression, suicide and cyberbullying among adolescents? This study included youngsters from young age till 18 years who as a result of cyberbullying, suffered from depressive symptomatology and suicide behaviour. The inclusion criteria included studies that were published only in English literature and within the last 10 years. Additionally, studies had to be peer-reviewed and include adolescents younger than 18 years of age and focused on both genders. Exclusion criteria included literature reviews that explored mental health conditions other than depression and suicide, studies published in third world countries and those older than 10 years. The search revealed six relevant studies: one systematic review, one systematic review and meta-analysis and four cross sectional studies. These were critically appraised and critique utilising the Critical Appraisal tool Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI). The results revealed that there is a significantly association between depression, suicide and cyberbullying, particularly in females. The majority of the studies suggested that this area needs further research, particularly in the area of prevention and intervention strategies on cyberbullying.
