Faculty of Laws Newsletter : October 2024 : issue 23

Abstract

The Faculty Newsletter Editorial Board takes the opportunity to welcome you to a new academic year. As you can see from this edition of our newsletter, we were quite busy this summer (over and above the usual summer activity including script corrections, revisions of papers, resits, final classifications, processing of new student applications, etc.). In fact, the Faculty of Laws literally did not stop over summer, and the situation was made more challenging by the ongoing works which thankfully are now practically completed (less a few teething problems); in my opinion the half days did not help either, because expecting a person to do a full day’s work in half the time results in stress and inefficiency as people struggle to do as much as they can in the limited time. Yet, as always our trusty team faced and overcame every challenge, and we are all prepared for, and looking forward to, all that AY2024-2025 has in store. We hope that this year we will not only continue to fulfil our mission as educators and researchers, but that we will actually improve on past performance.
