Abstract: Dr Liam Weeks (University of Cork, Ireland) gave a public talk entitled 'Brexit: The Irish Context', on Wednesday 25 April at 17:30. The talk was held at Dar l-Ewropa / Europe House, 254 St Paul Street in Valletta. The talk focused on: What will be the implications of Brexit for Ireland? Will it revive nationalist aspirations of a united Ireland? Will it motivate talk of an ‘Eirexit’, i.e. an Irish withdrawal from the EU? Will there be greater co-operation between Ireland and Malta, the two remaining English-speaking members of the EU?
