Faculty of Laws Newsletter : November 2024 : issue 24

Abstract

A word from the Dean: Faculty of Laws Newsletter’s second anniversary! This newsletter was two years old last month, and I did not even notice! Time flies; two years ago I struggled with different formats, even investing in a subscription which I hoped would lead to a more professional product... it did not, which proves that our tools are only as good as the capabilities of the person operating them. All editions of this newsletter are available on OAR, not because they will contribute towards my – or any member of the Editorial Team’s – promotion prosepects, but because we believe that the newsletter serves a number of purposes; apart from serving as a link, a means how to keep in touch and as a source of information, it even serves as a record of how far our Faculty has come in recent years, of how hard we work, of how much we produce, of how active we are. We believe that the Faculty of Laws has a lot to be proud of, and we should not shy away from sharing this with anybody who looks us up. We also think that it is healthy to have a written record to look back upon, of our activities and achievements. Twenty-four issues later we can already start to do just that i.e. go through the older issues and recall with pride our activities.
