Abstract: Professor Hugh Bochel (University of Lincoln) was invited to give a public lecture on Scotland, the United Kingdom and Brexit on 2nd May 2019. This lecture outlined some of the key changes that have taken place in Scotland and the UK, and sought to explain the reasons for the apparent growing divergence, and the implications of Brexit for the relationship between Scotland and the rest of the UK, and indeed for the future of Scotland.
