Abstract: The main aim of this project-based study was to present different teaching ideas and to construct educational resources based on the fundamental principles of UDL. The primary idea was to show how today's teaching and learning can suit all, including students with special educational needs, from diverse social backgrounds, and with varied learning preferences, preparing them for the advancing societal demands. The study focused on the Health and Social Care VET subject, targeting Unit 1 in the Year 9 SEC Syllabus. It addressed criteria for Meeting Individual Needs at Different Life Stages, entailing the recall of several terms. These criteria are knowledge-based, yet the project proposed engaging modalities rather than chalk and talk, making learning fun. The purpose was for teachers and learners to use the resources and ideas interchangeably as learners progress through their learning, with the teacher acting as a facilitator and collaborator. A teacher's instructions handbook, a board game, role-plays, ideas for projects and 3D models, posters, and a timeline for understanding the human lifespan, make up the resource pack. Altogether these target the main principles of engagement, representation, and expression in UDL. The initial stages involved thorough literature research to inquire about the benefits and application of UDL, students' learning preferences, the efficacy of role-plays, the benefit of educational posters, the purpose of project-based learning, and the usefulness of board games in education. Prototype resources were created based on these findings to enhance learning in the Health and Social Care classroom. The researcher recommends a trial application that can lead to the development of authentic resources.
