Abstract

In exploring "Strengthening Governance and the Rule of Law in Malta and Romania Post-Membership," this dissertation aims to address the critical challenge of reinforcing legal and governance structures as these nations navigate their evolving political landscapes. As Malta and Romania adjust to their post-EU membership contexts, enhancing the effectiveness and inclusivity of their governance frameworks becomes essential. Effective governance and a robust rule of law not only ensure stability and democratic integrity but also foster public trust and engagement. This research seeks to identify key strategies and best practices for strengthening these elements providing actionable insights to support Malta and Romania in their journey towards more resilient and participatory governance systems and adherence to the rule of law.
