| Abstract: | The UM is not short of acronyms, some perhaps more familiar than others. These include VLE and VLEEC. Our VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) is the online system which all academics are expected to use to communicate with their students, whether it is to send them information (via the ‘Anouncements’ section) or to upload notes and slides, or to create the space for their students to upload their assignments into. Some academics feel daunted by the task of mastering VLE, despite the immediate benefits of this system and user- friendliness. If you are this category, it is suggested that you register for the 2.5 hour training course on how to use VLE, being held on 27th January 2025.
