| Abstract: | Book reviews are an essential aspect of the publishing world, playing a crucial role in promoting literature, guiding readers’ choices, and shaping literary culture. As part of a larger community, Malta’s relatively small but vibrant publishing scene and dedicated readership is most certainly subject to the same dynamics of influence. That said, and despite an ever wider range of fiction and non-fiction published annually, an underdeveloped critical landscape continues to pose one of the most significant challenges to local readers and authors finding each other.
