| Abstract: | Legal scholars and practitioners have typically paid little attention to the contribution of small states to the law. This piece argues that while international law’s principle of state equality regardless of size might at first appear to hamper small states by turning a blind eye to their relative lack of power, small states have been able to use the law to seek justice and accountability for one of the foremost crises of our times: the climate emergency. |
