Ecocentric management for sustainable fisheries and healthy marine ecosystems : report on analysis of data from stakeholders throughout the project lifetime

Abstract

This report constitutes Deliverable 8.5 of the Horizon 2020 EcoScope (Ecocentric management for sustainable fisheries and healthy marine ecosystems) and seeks to report the findings of a survey intended to understand the perceptions, preferences, and expectations of stakeholders in the fisheries industry regarding Ecosystem Based Fisheries Management (EBFM). This document complements D7.1, a report which provided descriptive and quantitative analyses from large-scale socioeconomic surveys of the general public. The stakeholder survey is, in fact, an abridged version of the general public survey. As such, it seeks to identify and infer differences, wherever relevant. It is also pertinent to mention Deliverable 8.3, which reports on stakeholder consultation, during which the questionnaire used here (and in D7.1) was piloted.
