| Abstract: | The papers in this second volume published under the title “The Mediterranean’s European Challenge” Volume 2 add to the coverage of the relevant issues in the first volume which was published under the same title in 1998. While no one specific theme - other than approximation to the acquis communautaire in the Mediterranean region via the Euro-Med Partnership – links the various contributions, the two volumes represent important work by distinguished Mediterranean and European Union-based academics which, taken together, presents a wideranging overview of the difficulties, progress and experience in a number of Mediterranean states. |
