Abstract: As our fiery narrator – Barbie Cute – tries to tell us the story of Biskuttine, she is continually interrupted by traditional Fairy Tale characters like Goldilocks, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Thumbelina and many others including Super Fairy Man! They cannot understand why she does not need them if this year’s Junior College annual Soiree is a Fairytale. When Barbie finally manages to tell us her tale, it is the sorrowful story of Biskuttine, the only daughter Gran Biskotto, last of the Maltese Barons. He wants his daughter to marry someone important so he invites Aedwardus Lapinus Osseus and Alphreadus Sanctus – the island’s two most important gentlemen – to compete for her love. But the sad truth is that Biskuttine is in love with Joe, who is simply an honest Junior College student. What can she do? She gets a great deal of useless help from the USA (United Saints Association), the VAT (Villains Association Team) and Moffa, Queen of Hatred. Fairytale characters also try to give a hand as do Barbie and her supposedly best friend Mathilda. To no avail however. Can there be a Maltese hero who can help Biskuttine?
