| Abstract: | Living in an internationally connected world makes it easier to search for opportunities abroad. This feels necessary at times when living, studying, and working in a small country – a small island state, like Malta. In the past, many youths had to leave Malta to pursue or enrich their careers by following academic programmes abroad. The move allowed them to specialise in their fields with some ultimately becoming professors. |
