Abstract: On 2 December 2020 the institute for European Studies organised a webinar on the eTranslation tool available to university employees. Organised in collaboration with the European Commission’s Representation to Malta, Mr Mark Vella of the Representation Office explained the tool and how to register. The eTranslation tool is cutting edge automatic translation technology which allows automatic translations into all official EU languages as well as Icelandic, Norwegian and, increasingly, global languages such as Russian and Chinese. This allows language pairs in excess of 500 variations. In addition to Mr Vella’s presentation, Mr Mike Rosner of the UoM spoke about the collection of data. Over 20 participants were present and the webinar was recorded so that it could be viewed online.
Description: Held online on 2 December 2020.
