Abstract: Psalm 133 transmits valuable images that human society seems to be moving away from, even though it vouches that its world has become a global village! Images depicting life-giving communion, active old age, leadership as service, communitarian well-being, the richness of symbolism in the human body are all highlighted in this surprisingly short psalm. Gleaning a theology of the body as it is reflected in Psalm 133, seems to me to be a good congratulatory gift to Mgr Prof. Emmanuel Agius on his seven decades of life celebration, during most of which he has shared his deep and wide knowledge of the Theology of the Body with students and academics alike. The numbers seven and ten are biblically loaded with meanings of infinity: which are what we augur to Prof. Agius in health, wisdom and peace of mind. The community blessing in Psalm 133: notes on sociology.
