Abstract: This essay integrates the works of Emvin Cremona' particularly those known as the Broken-Glass, with the major philosophical, aesthetic and conceptual debates of the 20-21c. It debates the historical situation Maltese artists found themselves in: a creative 'in-between space' on the frontier between an archaic language and a new 'in-becoming space'. The essay also deals with the methodology of how art is to be read and not only 'seen'. It introduces the cinematic montage principles so as to enhance the richness in the analysing of art works treated as 'events'. Ultimately Schembri Bonaci underlines the interconnectedness of all acts of creativity which are always in a continuous flow wedging themselves within different economic-political-social structures.
