| Abstract: | The MODENERLANDS’25 International Conference marks the culmination of four years of coordinated research and capacity building under the COST Action CA20109 – Modular Energy Islands for Sustainability and Resilience –, devoted to revisiting and advancing the concept of offshore modular energy islands. The Action integrated three complementary domains – assessment of sustainable offshore resources and siting, modular floating platform technologies and operations, and networks, storage, and resilience – ensuring that insights could flow coherently from resource mapping to platform design and, ultimately, to grid integration and market feasibility. The present Book of Abstracts gathers the contributions that illustrate this trajectory, tracing a path from scientific exploration to deployment-oriented knowledge, and reflecting the work of the Action’s network of researchers. The Conference Proceedings will follow in an online volume containing selected full papers submitted by the authors. [excerpt] |
