Abstract: We are delighted to present the very first issue of Disability and the Global South (DGS). We have been working hard to finalise this issue with much enthusiasm. The idea of DGS goes back a couple of years and responds to a number of concerns as we engaged in the area as academics, activists and practitioners. These concerns remain as we write, reconfirming the timely importance of this journal. [extract]
