Abstract: In any democracy, trust is its lifeblood. Citizens turn to the Ombudsman because they believe in its independence, its fairness, and its integrity. When people bring their grievances, they do so with the hope that their voices will be heard without fear or bias. This trust is sacred, and once broken, it is nearly impossible to regain. That is why the Ombudsman must never betray it. It must stand as a safe refuge where justice and accountability are not just promises but lived realities. [excerpt]
