Abstract: This presentation argues for reframing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in radiography from a compliance-driven model (hours, points, checklists) to a reflective, outcome-based model focused on competence, professional insight, and patient safety. It reviews current European and international CPD frameworks, regulatory shifts toward greater professional judgement and reflection, common pitfalls in traditional approaches, and practical strategies to align CPD with daily clinical practice, role development, and service improvement.
