| Abstract: | This little collection of modern fairy tales is for you, little you and grown-up you. The stories have travelled from all over the European continent — Norwegian mountains, Italian seas, Slovenian rivers, Hungarian meadows, Maltese cliffs — to reach you. Spun by Giuliana, Giovanna, Ivanir, Špela, and Maja, they draw from the grain of sand, the seed of the sapling, the drop of rain, and the smallest flame. Inspired by the human experience and our relationship with the natural world, they remind us of our deep connection to nature and the importance of caring for Mother Earth. Created during a gathering on the island of Malta in March 2019 under the Creative Europe Programme, the tales are an act of rebellion against despair and an invitation to embrace curiosity, community, courage, and hope through the healing power of story and nature. |
