Abstract: I would like to underline two elements in the title: the expression in Europe and the verb evangelizing. The choice of the verb suggests that the mission of the Church should not be understood as the expansion or the reconquest of a territory (ad gentes) but rather as a service in carrying out God’s transformative action to free each person and invite everyone to collaborate with the universal plan of salvation in different ways (inter gentes). God is conducting a new evangelization in Europe, and the task of ecclesial evangelization action is to support it with testimony. [extract]
