| Abstract: | Like there is always light whenever the phenomenon of a mirage is made manifest, so also there is always truth involved whenever the illusion of name (Skt.1 nāman) is distilled and differentiated from a word (Skt. pada, a step) derived from its core verbal syllable, mined from some seminal sound (Skt. dhatu) and articulately distilled from some form of excellence, some form of behavioural gesture, the result of neural and cognitive mechanisms. The same neural and cognitive mechanisms that allow us to perceive and move around also create our conceptual structures and modes of reason. [extract] |
