Abstract: Shared values and beliefs have the power to unite communities on both divine and human levels. While society represents the collective fabric of human interaction, religion embodies the spiritual and moral dimensions that shape individual and communal identities. This paper examines the social perspective of universal brotherhood through the lens of Imago Dei as presented in Genesis 1:26-27. This contribution contends that this concept offers a timeless and unifying foundation for understanding human brotherhood. In a world marked by bloody military and religious conflicts, human brotherhood becomes a very urgent reality that we want to clarify and support by examining its first biblical thematization in Gen 1.
