Abstract: A book review of David Chiwon Kwon’s Justice After War: Just Post Bellum in the Twenty-first Century (Catholic University of America Press, 2023). The reviewer examines Kwon’s constructive theological and ethical framework for post-war justice (jus post bellum). The review highlights Kwon’s three-pronged strategy involving just policing, just punishment, and just political participation, anchored in Catholic Social Teaching. Special emphasis is given to Kwon's novel focus on nonclassical, grassroots Christian actors (such as NGOs and local communities) as active peacebuilders.
