The purpose of this journal is to inform and communicate with members of forthcoming events and as a means of sharing knowledge. A lot of studies are undertaken by student midwives and qualified midwives to obtain their degrees and the majority of these studies are shelved and forgotten. This is a great pity, as we tend to refer and quote foreign studies which do not always reflect our practices and culture. Furthermore, it is hoped that there is a greater research utilization and usage of local research findings in the clinical field.
