Abstract: | After having escaped from a storm, Saint Paul and his companions stepped on the Maltese islands and were welcomed and taken care of by the Maltese people. In his writings, Saint Paul mentions the compassion of the Maltese, however he calls the Maltese barbarians, in Latin 'hoi barbaroi'. In the article, Pietru Pawl Saydon questions as to why Saint Paul described the Maltese people as barbarians. |
