Abstract: In this article, Aquilina mentions writings from Dante and Thomas Moore in order to show how even the English and Italian language, two of the biggest sources of teaching in Malta, were harshly criticized, similarly to what is happening the Maltese language. The author uses these two languages to make a few interesting comparisons to the Maltese language.
