Abstract: Brucellosis (also known as undulant fever, Mediterranean fever, Malta fever), is a specific disease of animals which is occasionally transmitted to man, by direct or indirect contact. It is caused by small, Gram-negative, non-sporeforming coccobacilli of the genus Brucella.
