Abstract: In this project I have looked at the experience of young Born Again Christians. They are all between the ages of 20-30, and come from Britain to spread the word of God to Maltese University students, amongst other countries. In this interview I have tried to find the similarities, differences and underlying themes to their conversions, and try to find possible causes to this mysterious turn of events. I have found that the experience vary between participants, however seem to stem out some form of dissatisfaction. Some conversions are sudden and others gradual. Yet it is clear the change had led to changes that they view as being very positive, including helping against alcoholism and benefiting their view of relationships. I also find that while friends and family may be confused by the change, they generally accept it, and the interviewees still uphold healthy social lives with friends of similar and different beliefs. Hopefully this project may give a clearer idea of what a Born Again Christian is and nullify pervading stereotypes.
