Abstract: Pontifical vestments and insignia, namely vestments and insignia used by bishops to enhance their dignity rather than their priestly ministry, are the mitre, the pallium, the gloves, the buskins and sandals, the tunic and the dalmatic worn under the chasuble, and the gremial veil; also the pectoral cross, the ring, the crozier, the formale, the liber canonis and the bugia, the silver ewer and basin, and the archiepiscopal cross.
