Abstract: In this article the cross section nature of the European Union Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC), the new homogenized European panel survey, is exploited to check for unobserved heteroskedasticity due to gender in the adult learning. We focus our analysis on a whole sample of 21 European countries. We find a significant heteroskedasticity due to sex in the adult learning in Europe.
