| Abstract: | This editorialof Lehen il-Malti journal is the first one since Malta gained Independence. The author here mentions the first Maltese authors who wished of having an independent Malta. We find some references to patriotic books by Maltese authors, mentioning Maltese nationals who rebelled against the rulers of Malta. These Maltese works include Inez Farrug by A. E, Caruana, Nazju Ellul by Guze Muscat Azzopardi, Mannarino by Gan Anton Vassallo, Fidwa tal-bdiewa by A. Cremona, and other Maltese poets including Guze Aquilina's 'Taht tliet saltniet' |
