| Abstract: | This article refers to the well-known poet Dun Karm. However Portelli here wanted to show us Dun Karm as a prose writer. In 1925 the 'Ghaqda tal-kittieba tal-Malti issued the first publication titled 'Il-qari' and Dun Karm was one of the renowned Maltese authors who gave his contribution not as a poet but by writing a piece titled 'Is-sengha tal-kitba'. Dun Karm's Maltese translation from Italian of 'Inez u Emilja', was one of his longest work as prose.
