| Abstract: | The fate of the Maltese was undecided until the very end. Hitler and Mussolini made the final plans to invade and occupy the Maltese islands. While resisting to the enemy's attacks, the Maltese rejoiced when the Santa Marija convoy entered the Grand Harbour- fruit of the success of Operation Pedestal. With renewed supplies, the Maltese were able to survive the onslaught brought about by Hitler, Mussolini and Kesselring. |
