Abstract: The paper discusses the formation of state programs for sustainable rural development. The urgency of the study of state support for rural areas is determined by the problems of reforming the agrarian policy of the Russian Federation. Using the program-target method, the authors proposed a methodology for the formation of state programs for sustainable rural development.
