Abstract: The Maltese archipelago comprising of two main islands, Malta and Gozo and three little islands, Comino, Cominotto and Filfla. Reference to the composition of the limestone and their formations with measurements of each layer. This chapter has reference to the Victoria Lines, which crosses Malta from east to west with its geological structure; Dingli cliffs which characterize the southwestern coast of Malta; sinkhole structures developed in the Lower Coralline Limestone found at the west side of Gozo; the cavernous areas found in the southern part of Malta (such as Blue Grotto). Malta and Gozo display inlets that are partially drowned valleys of subaerial erosion. A map shows the predominant coastal landforms in the Maltese islands indicating high cliffs, cliffs, 'rdum' type cliffs, low rocky coast, sandy beaches, sinkhole structures, major fault and height in meters.
