Abstract: This article is dedicated to the research pertaining to the historic relationship between Malta and Sicily- more specifically, during the reign of the Knights of the Order of St. John. The ties between the two islands were significant ones and, as a result, the political movements occurring in Malta were of great interest to the popes at the time.
