Abstract: The Maltese swan Cygnus falconeri Parker was evidently widespread in Malta in the past. Remains of this bird have been recovered from Zebbug, Ghar Dalam, Mnajdra, Tal-Gnien and other Localities. They are stored in the British Museum (Natural History), London, University Museum of Zoology, Cambridge, England and the National Museum of Natural History, Mdina.
