Abstract: This document contains a letter written by a medical doctor by the name of Giovanni Domenico Mangion who wished for a relocation of employment. Written in the 16th century, this letter highlights various factors of interest: foreigners were frequently employed as medical personnel, being of Maltese nationality was an asset when searching for employment and there was a large amount of Sicilian doctors who practised in Malta.
