Abstract: | Debono provides an in-depth look at the wine trade that the Maltese partook in with Sicilians in the 18th century. At the time existed a rather wasteful system of trade, according to a leading wine merchant by the name of Joanne Baptista Salvaloco- who brought forward a new strategy which provided more benefits for Maltese traders. |
