Abstract: Galea conducts a study on the history of Maltese character- stating that the personality of the Maltese has always been intertwined with the sea. He discovers that some of the best sailors throughout history were, in fact, Maltese. In the final part of the article, Galea recounts a story of a friar of the Order of the Discalced Carmelites.
