| Abstract: | This article acts as a remembrance towards Charles Melbourne Focken who played a key role in the development of Malta's educational system in the mid-1900s. Born in Hong Kong and later migrating to Australia, Focken lived in Malta for a period of time before returning to Australia upon his retirement. |
