| Abstract: | Nerik Mizzi was a Maltese politician who, as Calleja recounts, worked relentlessly to subdue the opposing British rule and its authoritarian rule. The article goes on to include a synopsis of the language debate which saw a rivalry between English and Italian enthusiasts reflect on the identity of the Maltese. |
