Abstract

This article refers to outstanding news on environmental issues around the globe, including pollution, and on how environmentalists take necessary action to protect the natural world. One step forward to reduce air pollution caused by automobiles is to introduce electric cars operating by batteries. A local initiative which included the Għadira Nature Reserve (Mellieħa) as a protected Wetland area of International importance highlights the ever increasing importance for nature conservation. Essentially, the constant work accomplished by envioronmentalists, societies and governments is crucial for the protection of endangered species and tropical rainforests.
