Abstract: | The laboratory is most often called upon to help in the diagnosis of one of the commonest clinical conditions - a pyrexia of unknown origin. In Malta this may be due to various causes but amongst the most frequent are undulant fever and typhoid fever, the former being markedly commoner. |
