Abstract

This article focuses mainly on issues related to the protection of wild birds, particularly on human factors affecting negatively bird species and their conservation. News concerning fowling and related laws and legislation are brought up to show how governments take firm action to stop the killing of bird species, especially those in danger of extinction. To this effect, protected natural areas are designated, whereas projects are also set up to help in the reproduction of endangered birds. Notwithstanding, hunters are a constant threat to rare birds, whereby environmentalists keep stressing on the crucial importance of Nature conservation.
